Our bedroom. Love the lightblue wallpaper, the forest view and and the little beck running outside the window ,this room room is so peaceful.

More of this lovely wallpaper...well maybe after 50 years they laugh at my lightblue one;)

As you can see we have had our hand full with this old house... :)

Deadline two weeks

Ready or not, we have to move in two weeks! The house is far from ready, but it feels kind of nice to know that we have a deadline now, so people working with our house have some fire under their butts and tings start to happen, finally :)

First weeks we will only be living in the second floor, so that's our priority now. I can't wait!!!

white and pink :)Amandas bedroom is almost ready, we are waiting for a wardrobe ordered from Ikea. With three girly girls in the house, wardrobes are extremely important!

Livingroom is soon done! Tthe panel on the wall needs to be painted one more time, my maroccon plates will arrive this week and then there's just the lists around windows etc...we'll getting there .)

In two weeks I'll be sleeping here :)

The carpenter will fix the walls here today (isolation and plaster and finally wood panel...hmm, hope I won't get tired of this much panel)

What do you think? Two weeks feels too short!?

A piece of Marrakech

One place I always wanted to visit is Marrakech with it's bazaars, colours and beautiful architecture. already when we started renovating i told Anders that I wanted to have  moroccan tiles somewhere. And now it seems like I've found both the tiles and the place to put them :)

These tiles (colour hazelnut) will be under the fireplace.

Count down

I'm so looking forward to seasong start in Sälen! Then quiet sälen turns into a place with kind of pulse that you can compare with big cities. So it better start snowing soon, because seasong up here is definetly dependent on snow...

First snow for the first time

For few days ago Sälen was covered with snow but today it feesl like summer season is here again, sun is shining, +12 degrees outside and all snow is gone of course. The most people here are looking foward to winter and snow. So do I, but I'm happy for the long and warm fall,  renovating is easier then and the winter is long enough anyway...It looks like we'll finish the entrance this week, right before the snow comes again and maybe stays there for few months :)

Atleast the storageroom is ready (except for the lights and painting, which we will fix next spring)

Amanda´s room is almost ready, just missing the details. (I've heard though that the details take usually a long time to fix...)

Cleaning at Olles stugor

Today I have been up to the cabins and cleaned with A's parents. Anders' mum has this tradition (one of many) to clean all the cabins properly once a year. I cannot let elderly people alone clean the cabins they have given to us so I've promised to help. So we cleaned and cleaned, drank some coffee and ate homemade pastries, cleaned a bit more and drank more coffee and ate more buns....Finally people who appreciate sweet stuff as much as I do!

These oldsters are actually really though ones! After couple of hours cleaning I was exhausted! It felt like I just had done a toughest workout pass ever and wanted to go home and get some rest, while farmor and farfar had one more cup of coffee and few more buns and just keep going! How do they do that?!

I should get some sleep now, but I've filled my body with sugar and coffeine so it's easier said than done! It's perhaps not a good idea to hang too much with Anders' parents (bad influence)...

But honestly, they have been a really good company for me this fall and I've come pretty close to them :)

Situation update

Right now our storage is much nicer looking than our house

heart of the home :) But what kind of kitchen backsplash to choose?! There are thousands of possibilities...Help needed!!

How can we get all the colours go in harmony??? 

 Atleast I've learned that everythig isn't as easy as it looks on tv!
